Fleet managers evaluating idle management technology are often balancing several priorities at once: fuel savings, operator comfort, compliance, installation time, maintenance impacts, and long-term vehicle value.

Vanair’s EPEQ® IM HVAC system is designed to address those challenges by connecting with factory HVAC components, automating engine shutdown and restart parameters, and reducing the installation burden compared to more complex aftermarket systems.

ACT News takes a closer look at how this approach could help reduce unnecessary engine hours while keeping operations consistent in demanding duty cycles.

Renewable diesel and supplied 71% of the diesel used in California in the first three quarters of 2025. It's one of the clearest signals in the State of Sustainable Fleets 2026 Market Brief that low-carbon fuels are scaling in the real world, not just on paper.

Why it matters for :
• Adoption is climbing fast: 56% of fleets reported using renewable diesel or biodiesel in 2025, more than double the 27% in 2023
• Renewable diesel is a drop-in fuel, chemically equivalent to petroleum diesel and certified to the same ASTM D975 standard, so fleets can switch without engine modifications
• In California, renewable diesel offered a 57% lifecycle GHG reduction in 2025 compared to conventional diesel
