We came across some old race flyers from a road race held at Santa Maria Airport in the 1960s.

The entry list and the cars are pretty damn cool, and we'd love to know more.

If you were there, raced in it, helped put it on, or remember anything about this event, we'd love to hear from you. Drop a comment and help us fill in some of the history. 🏁

For those of you who like turning left AND right, but thought Turns 1, 2, and 3 were just a little too much left and a little too much right…. 😂
You know who you are. 👀
See you at the track! 🏎️💨

🚨 TRACK CONFIGURATION NOTICE 🚨

The track configuration is NOT open for interpretation.

We are running the H configuration through the next club race. Please do not change it.

Changing the configuration creates a real amount of work. The hours it takes to correct the configuration and blow off interchanges over the course of a month add up quickly, and those are volunteer hours that could be spent improving the track and doing other things that benefit everyone. 🛠️⏱️

There’s another reason we need to leave it alone: we are rubbering in the configuration we’re running. 🏁 The more we run it consistently, the better the track gets for the actual race configuration.

So, to be clear:

👉 H configuration until the next club race.
👉 Do not change the configuration.
👉 You are not free to modify the layout.

If you have questions or concerns about the configuration, bring them to the appropriate track/club leadership. Don’t just change it yourself.

Thanks for helping us keep the track consistent and making the best use of everyone’s volunteer time. 🤝🏁
