We matched up the left to right and then reaffixed to our seat back. Though we still need to refine the whole thing before it goes to the upholsterer, the effort is reflected in the final product.

We reversed the slides, flipped it over, then sectioned and rewelded it....all that's left is to affix to the seat back itself, and duplicate on the other side.

Here's a before-and-after to-date on our rear seat back modification.

We've.....
-removed the sides (but will modify and reaffix)
-shortened the top 2"
-clearanced the base to allow for our driveshaft and link bars
-cut, rebent, and rewelded the springs

All this to just fit passengers!! Now we know why people build 2-seaters!!!😏

With the seat bottom in place, it was time to turn our attention over to the seat back.

We started by trimming the sides to fit-next we will reshape the seat itself and add back in the rear bottom, which has been removed to clearance our driveshaft and link bar tunnels.

Before and After.

Similar to the floor of a body drop, we took flat pieces of metal and added to the front of our seat to hide our increased subfloor height.

Once we wrap it around the sides and tie into our original frame, you shouldn't be able to tell the difference.

We squeezed in some time last night to modify our rear seat bottom, getting it to fit better with our newly-constructed floors.

We clearanced for our driveshaft hoop, at the corners for our wheel tubs, and utilized existing framework to create our bolted hold-downs by welding bolts to the floor to secure the base.
