While keeping that number in mind is a good thing, it isn’t the ideal pressure. The figure mentioned is, in fact, the maximum pressure, and following that is basically testing the tire’s limits. Instead, go by the pressure recommended by the car manufacturer, which you can find on the inside of the driver’s door.
