Tech Tip Tuesday: Routinely getting your car detailed will help keep your vehicles' paint from deteriorating prematurely. Washing away everyday road grime and chemicals built up from roadways and using a high quality car wash and wax will help. Don't use dish soap, it will take off any wax that was applied. A good wax should last around 6 months if properly maintained.

Tech Tip Tuesday: If you are planning a road trip don't take your vehicle in for service the day that you are leaving. Instead take it in on the Tuesday before you leave, that way if some thing is found wrong there is no major rush to get it fixed in one day.

Tech Tip Tuesday: Keeping up with your vehicles maintenance will prolong the vehicles life as well as help prevent costly break downs.

Tech Tip Tues: Pay attention to your engine temperature gauge. Especially since we have been having some hot weather. If your vehicle starts to over heat turn ON your heater, turn off the a/c, roll down your windows, and find a safe place to pull over. Once you are stopped turn off your vehicle and let it cool down.

Tech Tip Tuesday: When you start to here a grinding or squealing when you apply your brakes bring your car in to your mechanic as soon as possible. Most brake pads have built in indicators that "squeal" when they need to be changed. The longer you go with out getting it checked only means it will cost more to get fixed.

Tech Tip Tuesday: If you live a rural area that is prone to high rodent levels be sure to have your car checked for rodent related problems. Be sure to check all edible and not so edible materials like wires, hoses and filter media. Don't park next bushes where rodents can more easily climb into your car.

Tech Tip Tuesday: When you put your gas cap back on after filling up make sure you here at least three clicks. This will insure that the cap is tight and will avoid a check engine light code due to a leaky emission system.

Tech Tip Tuesday: With the rainy season upon us its time to check your wipers before you get caught in a down poor. Another tip is when you turn on your defroster its a good idea to turn on you A/C to dry the air making your defroster even more effective.

Tech Tip Tuesday: With the winter season right around the corner now is the time to have your cooling system checked to make sure you have the proper amount of anti freeze in your car, especially if you plan on hitting the slopes this winter where you will encounter freezing temperatures.
