Standard materials include heavy duty, water resistant, 1680 Trimax ballistic nylon with long hour UV treatment. All stress points are reinforced and double stitched for added strength. 🌎🏍️ THIS IS WHY WE BUILD ADVENTURE LUGGAGE.

Here at Nelson Rigg and Rigg Gear Adventure, few things get us more fired up than seeing our gear out in the wild, being used exactly as intended.

Because at the end of the day, luggage has one job:
Get the things that matter to you safely from where you ARE… to wherever you’re determined to GO. 🤘

And our friends Michael Waterford and Cameron York, Co-Founders of Hogrock Adventure Rally, just took that idea to another level.

Their destination? MONGOLIA. 🇲🇳

They recently returned from the Moto Nomad Rally — Northern Zavkhan Edition, and the numbers tell only part of the story:

🔥 12 DAYS
🏍️ 1,200 MILES
✈️ 12 FLIGHTS to and from home
🌧️ Soaking rain
☀️ Brutal heat
💨 Bone-dry dust
🪨 Sharp rock
🥶 Even frost

And their trusty steeds?

Shineray 200 Motorcycles. Essentially Chinese-built farm bikes used by Mongolian herders to move sheep, goats, camels and horses.

Michael and Cameron used them to move themselves, fuel, food, water, camping gear and—apparently very important for respecting local customs—vodka. 😂🥃

Their luggage setup included Nelson Rigg Hurricane Dry Duffels and the Hurricane waterproof Backpack/Tail Bag.

Every attachment point got used.
Every strap got put to work.
The available storage got PACKED.

And then they rode.

Through rain. Heat. Dust. Rocks. Frost. Mile after mile after mile.

The adventure didn't end when the motorcycles stopped, either. Their Hurricane gear then had to survive airports, baggage handling and a combined 12 flights traveling to and from home—with the Backpack/Tail Bag even pulling double duty as a carry-on. ✈️

Their final ride report might be our favorite part:

“Bags made it. We made it. Shineray... also made it, somehow.” 😂🙌

And then the five words every adventurer eventually says:

“Ready for the next one.”

🏍️💨 SMALL BIKES. BIG ADVENTURE.
We hit the dirt for a Small Bike Day with Paul and Mike from aboard the CFMoto Ibex 450 and KTM 390 Adventure — two lightweight ADV machines that are ridiculously fun when the pavement ends.

We RIGGED their rides with our Hurricane Waterproof Luggage Collection, while I (Kyle) was loaded up with the Trails End Adventure Luggage Collection.

And then… we went looking for dirt. 🤘

For Paul, this was his FIRST experience taking an Adventure bike off-road, and that made this ride even better. Dirt roads, trails, pavement, exploring and plenty of laughs along the way.
