Car care service checks.
The rainy season is around the corner and your tires need to be in good shape to help avoid loss of control of your car in adverse weather.
Step 1 - Check your tire pressure for proper inflation. you can find the correct pressure specification on the drivers door post sticker. Most cars use around 32 psi.
Step 2 - Check the tire pressure of the spare tire, if equipped.
Step 3 - Due a visual inspection of the side walls of the tires for cracking, dry-rot and any other damage to the rubber and the rims.
Step 3 - Check the surface of the tires for proper tread depth. You can use a penney upside down, facing you. If Lincoln's head is visible, then it is time to replace the tire. The average minimum tire tread depth is 2/32 inch.
Step 3 - run your hand across the tire and feel for uneven tire surfaces. Be careful for anything sharp on or in the tire.
Uneven tire wear can be caused by wheel alignment issues, worn suspension parts, such as shocks or struts.

Car care service checks:
It is recommended to check your engine oil in between oil changes. The car should be shut off and on a flat surface. Most cars have a dip stick coming out of the engine.
Step 1 - Remove dip stick and clean with a rag or napkin.
Step 2 - Reinstall dip stick into the engine.
Step 3 - Remove dip stick again and view the oil level on the stick.
Step 4 - The upper-level line on the dip stick means, it is full. If the level is at the lower line, that means it needs 1 quart of oil.
Step 5 - Verify the correct grade of oil in the owner's manual or oil cap may show oil viscosity.
Step 6 - add oil carefully and recheck.
