International Female Ride Day is a global movement and ride day for women motorcyclists who own, ride or have access to a motorcycle.
The day calls upon women riders to “JUST RIDE!”
It is a day which brings women together in motorcycling - while profiling and highlighting the diverse numbers of women who ride.
By participating and riding on this one synchronized, united ride-day, women mutually demonstrate their passion, devotion, and enthusiasm for the sport. Each and every woman participant is a role model for women in motorcycling and motorsport and contributes to the International Female Ride Day ( ) •BUILDING AWARENESS of female motorcyclists; growing the number of women riders.
• ENCOURAGING MORE WOMEN to take up the sport and ride.
International Female Ride Day® builds camaraderie among women and emphasizes the like-minded bond women share across all cultures of motorcycling and powersports.
The event occurs annually on the first Saturday of May worldwide.
Women participate by simply being on their motorcycle to "JUST RIDE! "
9:30am - registration w/ complimentary breakfast. Donations accepted to benefit Bikers Against Trafficking. Free T-shirt with registration. $20 minimum donation.
10:30am - scenic ride through Sanford and surrounding area. Easy, safe, controlled ride. The goal is to get attention and celebrate female riders around the world!
12:30pm - return to the dealership for prizes, vendors and entertainment. Food trucks will be on-site to purchase lunch.
All proceeds go to Bikers Against Trafficking.

Indian Motorcycle of Seminole County is Florida's favorite Indian Dealer and serves the Greater Orlando Metro area, just off of I-4 Exit 94. Come in today to see our brand new facility which is full of Indian clothing, riding gear, parts, accessories, service and of course Indian Motorcycles!
A look back at the Indian heritage...George M. Hendee founded a bicycle production company called the Hendee Manufacturing Company. The bicycles carried brand names such as Silver King, Silver Queen, and American Indian, which was shortened to simply “Indian” and became Hendee’s primary brand name.
Bicycle racing promoter and former bicycle racing champion George Hendee hired Oscar Hedstrom to build gasoline engine-powered bicycles to pace bicycle races. In February, Hedstrom began work on the motorized pacing bicycle in a shop in Middletown, Connecticut. He completed the first motorized bike in May and shipped it the 38 miles to Hendee in Springfield, Massachusetts. The machine, and the other two bikes Hedstrom built in 1901, proved to be powerful and reliable, establishing the company’s reputation for outstanding performance. Later that year the company’s first factory was established on Worthington Street in downtown Springfield.
The first Indian Motorcycle® was sold to a retail customer. It had chain drive and a single-cylinder engine built by the Aurora [Illinois] Automatic Machinery Co., the company with whom Hendee and Hedstrom contracted for engine production.
In its public racing debut, an Indian Motorcycle® won an endurance race from Boston to New York City.

stopped by today for some fun at Indian of Seminole County. Broke out my new lens for my Sony camera.
Doing a performance in north Florida and there is a HD dealership across the street. Walked in to see if they had any new riding gloves I’d be interested in since I need some. Upon being greeted by 2 associates I was asked what I ride. I said I had 3 Indians in the garage and the 2 of them instantly laughed. My question is, at what point does an HD salesman laugh at a potential customer? I’m legitimately perplexed why some people think one is “better” than the other. I drive an Audi car. Doesn’t mean I go over to BMW and laugh at the guys.
I’m curious as to that mentality especially in a salesman position where they literally make their income off of potential customers. So thankful for the team Indian Motorcycle of Seminole County not being ass clowns like these 2 fellas were today. I’ll stick to my tribe.

Maaaan, Man, MAN!! When you said ride in for breakfast, I expected one of those typical hotel contenintal things with dried bagels, some fruit and maybe sausages......Nate, gotta hand it to you. Three breakfast stations of scrambled eggs, a TUB of bacon, sausage for days and great hashbrowns. told my wife if there'd been one more offering, I'da gone into a food coma!!
