In 1983, Emeline King became the first Black transportation designer at Ford Motor Company. She contributed to several Ford design projects, including the 1989 Thunderbird, 2000 Thunderbird, 1990 Mustang Mach III concept, 2002 Lincoln Aviator® and Town Car, and most notably the interior of the 1994 SN95 Mustang®.

Today we announced two grants to support urgent critical relief needs, one to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and one to the California Community Foundation's Wildlife Recovery Fund.

These contributions are on top of Ford Philanthropy’s long-term, ongoing support for the American Red Cross, Feeding America, Team Rubicon, organizations that are already providing shelter, food, and other on-the-ground support.
