4TH OF JULY — Bring the whole family, with your lawn chairs or blankets, to enjoy STAR SPANGLED SANFORD on the Riverwalk at Fort Mellon Park from 7-10 PM.

The kids will really enjoy the Kids Zone, sponsored by Ladies 327, Inc., the enormous park playground, and the splash pad which will be open until sunset.

The Riverwalk will be filled with live entertainers, food, drink, and merchandise vendors, and radio station K92.3 will be on hand to keep it festive.

At 9:15pm everyone can enjoy a spectacular pyrotechnics show choreographed to patriotic music over Lake Monroe.

Star Spangled Sanford has lots of free parking throughout the long, holiday weekend ... on streets, in municipal lots, in leased parking lots and per agreement with our great neighbors! The City of Sanford's free shuttle service, sponsored by our CRA, is also running on Monday, July 4th from NOON - 8 PM. Enjoy your Independence Day Weekend!!!

Riverwalk Trail and Roadway Project -
Seminole Blvd. Will re-Open to Thru Traffic Tuesday, January 19, 2021
Starting Tuesday morning January 19, Seminole Blvd. will re-open to thru traffic. The roadway portion of the Riverwalk Trail and Roadway project is complete except for the resurfacing. Over the next several months expect lane closures for the additional roadwork.
The Riverwalk Trail and Roadway project is 60% finished. The final portion of the project will be adding all the trail amenities.
This will include:
• Two scenic overlooks
• Trail lighting
• Benches
• Decorative roadway lighting
Expect to see work on the trail amenities over the next year. The completion of the Riverwalk Trail and Roadway project is projected to be finished by December 2021.
