A set of ABT 16” 5x100 wheels, which were made in Germany by BBS and are BBS RD114s, - with some German made wheel cleaner from and..:

2 x Piech era VW Dealership signs which are about 4fr/1,2m in size, formerly mounted outside a dealership in the northwest of the country.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And Not Pictured is the huge roof box that’s specific to the VW Sharan, which fits flush on the roof 😅

FCP Euro’s Arizona distribution center was an all-time-great winter storage for the Goooolf Stretch 🥰🥰🥰

Now I’m heading westbound to Los Angeles, for the FCP Euro Sunday Motoring Meet on Sunday April 26th. It’s completely free of charge and held at the Robinson Helicopter Company in Torrance, so if you’re in the area, bring out your car and hang out.

And I’m getting used to driving this thing again, I can’t help but think that the German coach builder who built this car in the 80s, probably could never of imagined that it would be crossing the entirety of the United States and back… and I think that Pikes Peak Hill climb would be a fun additional stop on the way back later in the summer 😳😅😅😅🤣

New spark plugs overnight from FCP Euro to the Tail of the Dragon for the Beetle RSI Cup car 🤍

This weekend is the Wookie’s in the Woods event, celebrating all things VR6 and R32.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Beetle RSI Cup shells were made in Puebla, Mexico and then finished by Volkswagen Motorsport for a European race series.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They featured a front wheel drive VR6, originally a 2.8 24 valve with the separate can chain like the engine in the Golf 4 4Motion, but often later upgraded to 3.2L.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They also have on-board air jacks, and a special motorsport version of the O2M manual gearbox, and a lot of other trick parts.

Saturday Night Wookies in the Woods hangs - April 18th after the Raffle - at the Dam Garage.

We will be hanging out again at the Fontana Dam gas station all night, as soon as the raffle at the lodge ends.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The gas pumps will be switched off, the drink taps and soda fountains will be running, with music and cars filling the forecourt. The gas station is giving away 100+ WITW glasses for FREE to the first people buying a draft beverage also.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We will be joined by friends from FCP Euro, Meyle, and more, and will have PVW Magazines on hand to check out and buy if you feel inspired 💛

Totally free to attend, the forecourt will normally fill up quite quickly but you can park on the road up to the lodge or walk down if you’re staying in the resort.

Morocco and the Sahara desert on the VW Golf Challenge, in a VW Golf VR6 4Motion - bought from a junkyard.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We carried a new replacement oil pan which started cracking because the skid plate got pushed so far in to it by the rocks, washed out river beds, and gravel on the way to the sand dunes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rather than dropping the oil pan on the dusty trail, we ‘massaged’ the skid plate back into shape, and then didn’t stop the engine until we reached parc ferme at the end of that day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
