Customers often ask us how glass texture affects window tint. The answer is surprisingly simple to test yourself.
We use the fingernail test. Just run your fingernail over the glass. If your nail catches on a small groove or tick, that is technically a scratch, and it will be visible through the window film. If the glass just has a very mild texture that is hard to feel with your nail, the tint will apply perfectly fine.
Most clear glass has a slight, natural texture from manufacturing, and our films are designed to work seamlessly with it. If you are unsure about the condition of your windows, reach out to our team. We are always here to ensure you get the best possible finish for your space.

Why do we spend so much time scraping your windows before applying window film? It might seem like an extra step, especially on new windows, but it is the secret to a flawless installation.
You cannot take the glass for granted. At first glance, a window might look perfectly clean. But once we start prepping the surface, we almost always find hidden debris, tiny specks of dirt, or leftover adhesive from shipping and manufacturing labels.
If we apply window film over these imperfections, they will be magnified and look horrible. We meticulously scrape every inch, especially right in the middle where your eye naturally rests. Our goal is a crystal-clear finish so perfect that you will not even be able to tell there is a film on your glass.

This was a fun one. We used Panorama CX 50 ceramic window film in this conservatory to increase the performance of the glass without taking away from the spectacular garden views. CX is a great option for those wanting a natural non-reflective appearance.

One of the most common questions we get about window tinting is how we handle the water used during installation. During the application process, we use a specialized squeegee tool we call "the plow." Its main job is to push out as much water as possible from between the new film and the glass. Squeezing this water out is a crucial step because it allows the adhesive to properly set to the window.
While a tiny bit of moisture might be left behind to naturally cure over time, using this tool ensures your windows have excellent optical clarity right from day one. We always finish up by carefully drying the edges with a paper towel and an edge tool. This prevents any dirty water from trailing back down into your fresh tint, giving you a clean, factory-grade finish every time.

One of the most common questions we get from clients is about the window tinting process and whether the water we use will damage their home. It is a great question, and we want to assure you that your space is in safe hands.
When we step into a room, we treat the floors and walls as if they are made of sand. Because window film installation requires a lot of water to get that perfect, flawless finish, we take zero chances with your property. We lay down heavy-duty drop cloths and plastic barriers specifically designed to catch all runoff. We also carefully remove blinds and protect your electrical outlets before a single drop of water is sprayed.
We would much rather spend the extra time protecting your beautiful floors than buying you new ones!

We get a lot of questions about balancing privacy, heat reduction, and natural light with home window tinting. Let me break down how different films work for your house:
Heat & UV Reduction: Want to keep your view? Lighter ceramic or metallic films are incredible at blocking heat and UV rays while staying perfectly clear.
Privacy: We can install one-way mirror films. You see out, but people can't see in during the day. Keep in mind that window film works by blocking light from getting to the dark.
Glare: If sun glare is your main issue, you will need to go with a darker film to properly cut that down.

While our crew loves showing off their fun sock collections on the job, we take our window tinting work seriously. Clients often ask us how the residential window tinting process works and if it will disrupt their home. We make sure the installation is clean, efficient, and respectful of your space. We meticulously cut the film to size, then thoroughly prep and spray the glass to ensure a flawless finish. Not only does this keep your home cooler, but it protects your furniture from UV damage. Being mindful of our footwear means we keep your floors as spotless as your newly tinted windows! Have questions about getting your home tinted? Drop them below and our team will answer.
