New video up on my YouTube page. I’ve been slacking on getting content up there but I thought this would be a good breaks down on how critical the valve job needs to be.

Adding layers of redundancy to QC is what separates a reliable cylinder head program from one that only looks good on paper.

When cutting the valve job, a dial indicator is first used to precisely set the depth of each cut. After the seats are machined, a second indicator verifies runout and taper to ensure the seat is truly concentric to the guide.

Finally, valve stem protrusion is checked again with a dedicated depth gauge to confirm installed height consistency across every valve.

These are tedious and time-consuming steps, but they directly impact service life, sealing efficiency, and overall valvetrain stability.

Proper stem protrusion also keeps valvetrain geometry consistent so you’re not compensating with a pile of different pushrod lengths during final setup.

A cylinder head program can make or break an engine combination. Poor seat concentricity leads to inadequate sealing, accelerated valve guide wear, and in severe cases can contribute to dropped valves.

Precision at every stage matters because small deviations compound quickly once the engine is under load and temperature.

Some insight on setting up the springs on new Gromm Racing BR7 cylinder heads.

The spring got rejected and replaced but how times do you think springs are installed and the assumption that they are all the same happens?

The Buxton is definitely worth its weight and wait.
