No membership or other pre-requisites required to buy or browse our used gear, order parts, rent workstations, take classes or store a bike. It all started with a nightmare of working in a cubicle for the rest of our lives....a husband and wife who are avid motorcyclists, a local riding group, a strong motorcycling community, and a desire to bring people with a common hobby together in a space tha

t is made just for them. A space where they can work on their bikes, hang out, tell stories, become friends, bust a knuckle together, and always learn something new. We opened the doors in 2011, in a hard to find warehouse in South San Francisco. We didn't know if anyone would actually pay to work on their own bikes, or if anyone would want to learn how to get their hands dirty, but we had a hunch - so we gave them everything they needed and a comfortable place to work...and the rest evolved from there. As business grew, we relocated to Potrero Hill in San Francisco, where we continued to provide space and tools for local riders to work on their own bikes, attend workshops, and enjoy this space made just for them. In 2016 we relocated again, this time to Treasure Island, in the middle of SF Bay - easily accessible from both SF and the East Bay. We have an enormous space with 12 lifts and everything you need to work on your bike, including a fabrication shop, lounge, and used consignment gear for sale.

From small projects like changing your oil and chain maintenance to major ones like an engine rebuild or swap, a resto-mod on a ’78 CB750 or a complete restoration of your ’68 R69S, Moto Guild has space for you. Space rental includes a motorcycle lift, a well-stocked toolbox (metric and SAE), work bench and access to a vast array of specialty tools. Rental is either by the hour or by the month. Motorcycle storage for larger projects, so you don’t have to transport that bike back and forth to work on it. Need help with that project, there’s always someone available for basic help and you can schedule one-on-one sessions if you need more dedicated help. We have a large inventory of service parts; we can usually have non-inventoried tires and other items within 24 hours. OUR PARTS PRICING IS VERY COMPETITIVE. Discounts on disposal fees if you buy your tires and other parts through us, and on classes and used gear for students of Bay Area Motorcycle Training and other California Motorcyclist Safety Program schools.

Learn how the drive chain and gearing work on your motorcycle – how to adjust your chain tension, inspect the chain and sprockets for wear, and replace them. This is also handy if you want to change your current sprockets to get more umph or create a more comfortable highway RPM for commuting. You will learn to use a chain tool to break the old chain, to remove and install your rear wheel and sprocket, remove and replace your front sprocket, install the new chain and set the master link, and finally adjust the chain to proper tension. If you don’t know if your motorcycle is ready for a new chain or sprockets stop by the shop and we can check and let you know.
No previous tool handling or motorcycle repair knowledge is required before taking this workshop. If you only want to learn the basics of how to adjust, clean, and l**e your chain – you should sign up for our Introduction to Motorcycle Maintenance Workshop first.
