Drag Team JBA had a great Saturday at Barona racing the #2 Carlsbad Reunion. See Paul, Austin, Chuck, Pamela, Johnny, Dominic, Kurtis, Matt, Dana and JB powering down the track and blasting the pit area with Team JBA paddock area filled with fast cars. Paul ran a 8.59 in Austin’s 427 TP Fairlane testing his plans to drag race with buddy Rick, Austin went 7.20. Pamela went 8.60 with her JBA built original all iron 12.2-1 LT-1 on her ‘70’s street tires, Chuck and Johnny powered their Vette’s with John going 120mph in the 1/8th, Dominic’s big tire turbo truck laid down a 6.40 and Jay went 6.00 with a 1.25 sec 60 ft launch in his Cleveland powered GT350 after a mega burnout and fixing his trans brake. Lot of fun with the team and Kurtis, Craig, his grandson, Max and family and Matt.

IMPORTANT Father’s Day Sunday UPDATE
NASCAR/JBA Hospitality Tent June 21, 3026
If you have expressed interest in the JBA Speed Shop NASCAR Hospitality Tent, we just received the final details from NASCAR.

The San Diego Car Club VIP Hospitality Tent!
Our effort to save the Car Club VIP Tent (without the Car Show as canceled by Base Security) must receive 100+ RSVPs to happen!

So to have our “On Base for the Race” event, a minimum of 100 RSVP reservation need to be collected, leaving us a couple of days to achieve our goal. So if you have tickets RSVP!

The VIP package will cost $130.00 per person and includes a BBQ luncheon and drinks (soda, beer, wine) and includes an event T-shirt from “The Last Speed Shop” Car Club. Please decide and reply, and we will contact you for pre-payment if we get enough commitments or we cancel until 2027.

The VIP Tent will be open Race Sunday in the Infineon Paddock with the hospitality BBQ luncheon, w/food and drinks from 10AM - 2PM.

This weekend we will see how the bite is at Barona 1/8 Mile Drags as the Carlsbad Raceway Reunion - Vintage Drags is happening and Team JBA will be there! We grew up racing at Carlsbad so come enjoy it! Lot of pre-registered hot rods and racers! Enjoy the vintage video!
