About A&D Autowerks

Arne Knufman has over 30 years of experience working on cars. He got his start working for Volkswagen & Porsche, and was hired by San Diego Volvo in 1980, where worked his way up to shop foreman--responsible for everything that went on in the entire service center, Arne flourished as shop foreman for over 15 years. Arne holds all of his ASE certifications, and is also a specia

l reporting retailer for the VCNA (Volvo Cars of North America). In his spare time, Arne loves to wrench on his Hot Rod, and is a member of the Poway Cruisers car club. With his calm demeanor, and wealth of knowledge, you can trust that Arne will be able to solve any problem that comes his way! David Christiansen is a graduate of Universal Technical Institute (UTI), and the Volvo S.A.F.E. He was hired by San Diego Volvo immediately after graduation, where he worked as an apprentice under his business partner; Arne Knufman, and eventually worked his way up to a Team Leader position. In addition to his 10 years of experience working on Volvos, David has also built several of his own vehicles, which he loves to take to the racetrack, including a kit car which he had to build from scratch! To further his knowledge of automobiles, David went back to school and earned all of his ASE certifications, and loves to find new challenges and ways to learn even more about automobiles. When David isn’t racing or wrenching on cars, he also enjoys fishing and skateboarding. David is always willing to go the extra mile for every project that comes his way, and he doesn’t rest until he knows the job is done right!
