the 2025 race season got off to an epic start at the Airstrip Attack in Hondo, TX! What an exciting weekend for and , with a ton of fast-paced action on the runway at South Texas Regional Airport.

Huge props to and his insane Alpha 12 2018 Performante, tuned on by .tuned! Over 6 runs above 200+ MPH, James showed just how fierce the Performante can be, taking home 1st place in the Ethanol Class, even besting a Twin Turbo Calvo Viper on Saturday. That revenge race on Sunday was a nail-biter though, with the Viper edging him out at 218.55 MPH to James’ 216.45 MPH, but still a phenomenal performance for a stock motor V10 Performante!

And —wow! What an impressive debut at his first-ever half-mile event. Hitting 208.91 MPH in the Granatelli Motorsports Audi R8 tuned by on , and then battling his way to the AWD Finals on Sunday, ultimately taking 2nd place behind the AMS Performance Alpha 28. Congrats to Joey Granatelli for joining the 200MPH Club, just like his dad JR did last year!

A big weekend for the crew, filled with high speeds, close races, and some incredible achievements. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds!
