Before touchscreens, joystick controls, and glass cockpits, this was what luxury at the helm looked like.

The steering wheel on a classic Riva feels closer to a vintage sports car than a typical runabout. That was part of the magic. Carlo Riva understood that the experience mattered just as much as the performance, so the helm had to feel beautiful, mechanical, and special every time you sat behind it.

Would you choose the modern setup, or the classic helm?

Just another day in the office.

Classic Italian design feels right at home against the mountain backdrop, clear water, and slower pace of Lake Tahoe.

A pretty good place to enjoy a boat like this.

New school or old school?

One brings modern performance, new technology, and the latest expression of Italian design. The other carries the history, charm, and character that made Riva an icon in the first place.

There is no easy choice. Which one are you picking?

Owner Story: Steve Marini and his 1969 Riva Super Aquarama.

Steve caught the “boating disease” as a boy and, by the looks of it, never shook it. Over the years, that passion led him all the way to a 1969 Riva Super Aquarama, one of the most admired classic boats on the water.

At the Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance, Steve shared what Riva ownership means to him and why these boats continue to hold such a special place in the world of boating.

This past weekend, Jeff Brown Yachts headed to the shores of Lake Tahoe for the Concours d'Elegance at Obexer's Boat Company, one of the most prestigious wooden boat shows anywhere in the world.

Held at Obexer's Boat Company, the event brings together an exceptional collection of restored classic vessels and the people dedicated to preserving them.

This year's showcase featured an outstanding lineup of antique and classic wooden boats, including the largest gathering of classic Rivas in the United States. These boats set the standard for postwar elegance and remain among the most sought-after collectibles on the water. Each boat on display reflected years of meticulous restoration work, from period-correct hardware and hand-finished mahogany hulls to fully rebuilt engines. Walking the docks, it was clear how much expertise and patience these projects demand.

Our involvement went beyond the docks. We were proud to host the Riva Soirée, a private event held exclusively for Riva owners, bringing together this close-knit community for an evening of connection and shared appreciation for the marque. We also presented the Riva Lounge at the show. A dedicated space for owners, enthusiasts, and guests to gather, relax, and take in the weekend in true Riva style.

Beyond the boats themselves, the weekend offered a valuable opportunity to connect with the broader classic boating community. We had the chance to speak with seasoned collectors, restoration specialists, and first-time attendees, exchanging insights on the craft and the market behind these vessels. Set against the backdrop of Lake Tahoe's clear water and surrounding peaks, the setting was as memorable as the collection itself.

Events like the Concours d'Elegance underscore the artistry, engineering, and heritage that define this industry. Values that remain central to how we approach every yacht we represent.

Our thanks to Obexer's Boat Company, the organizers, and everyone who took the time to connect with us over the weekend. We look forward to returning next year.

This is classic Riva excellence.

The proportions, the finish, the hardware, and the lines that helped define generations of boating design.

Simple, timeless, and still just as special today.
