We’re counting down the days and honored to join the WHOW 2026 fleet once again, supporting our nation’s heroes on the water!
War Heroes on Water is an annual sportfishing tournament and fundraiser in its eighth year that helps combat-wounded Veterans recover from physical and emotional war wounds. The tournament has honored over hundreds of Veterans in person and thousands more through year-round services with charitable partner Freedom Alliance, making it the largest on-water combat-wounded Veteran therapeutic program in the United States. Over its history, the tournament has raised more than $8 million to support America’s war heroes.
2026 SCHEDULE
🏨 Friday 9/25: Veteran arrival, hotel check-in, and 5:00 PM Veteran Welcome Reception
🎉 Saturday 9/26: Opening Ceremonies with 12:00–4:00 PM Event Kick-Off & Silent Auction, followed by the 4:30 PM Celebratory Boat Parade through Newport Harbor
🎣 Sunday 9/27: Tournament Day 1 — all-day fishing on the water
🎣 Monday 9/28: Tournament Day 2 — all-day fishing, followed by the 5:00 PM On-Water Closing Ceremony and 5:30–8:00 PM Live Weigh-In on Catalina’s Green Pier
🏆 Tuesday 9/29: 4:30 PM Awards Ceremony (closed to the public)
