Today officially marks 10 years of Official California Detailing.

What started as a mobile detailing business has grown into something I probably couldn’t have fully pictured back then — a full-service San Diego detailing shop specializing in paint correction, ceramic coatings, paint protection film, window tint, and everything in between.

There have been a lot of long days, mistakes, changes, risks, lessons, and plenty of obsessing over the smallest details along the way. 😂 But looking back, I wouldn’t change much of it.

Most importantly, thank you.

10 years is a pretty big milestone for a small business, and we definitely didn’t get here alone.

If I were choosing someone to ceramic coat my own vehicle, I wouldn’t start by asking which coating has the longest warranty.
I’d start with the installer.
How long have they been correcting paint and installing coatings?
Can they explain why they use the product they use?
Do they understand what your vehicle actually needs before the coating goes on?
Can you see real examples of their work?
And what happens if you have a question six months later?
I’ve been around ceramic coatings long enough to see products, brands, and marketing claims come and go.
The shop doing the work is the part that matters long after the bottle is empty.
So if you’re searching for a ceramic coating installer in San Diego, do your research.
Read the reviews. Look at the work. Ask questions.
