I never thought I would have to write something like this.
Three weeks ago, doctors sat us down and told us words no parent should ever hear:
“There’s nothing more we can do.”
Our little boy — 7‑year‑old Mateo — has been fighting a rare, aggressive condition that is now in its final stage. They gave him six months. Six months to squeeze in a lifetime of memories. Six months to hold on to every smile, every laugh, every moment we still get.
And in the middle of all the fear, all the hospital nights, all the pain… he told us his wish.
Not Disney.
Not toys.
Not a trip.
He said:
“I just want to see the Spurs play… before I go.”
He watches every game from his hospital bed. He knows every player. He practices free throws with his IV pole. The Spurs are the one thing that still makes his eyes light up when the pain gets bad.
We are trying to make his wish real — not just tickets, but a full experience:
• Safe medical transport
• Front‑row seats if possible
• A chance to meet the players
• One night where he gets to feel like a normal kid again
But between medical bills, missed work, and constant care, we simply can’t afford it. We are drowning, and time is running out.
If you’re reading this, I’m asking from the deepest place a parent can ask:
Please help us give our son one last good memory.
Even $5 moves us closer. Even a share helps more than you know.
Every donation goes directly toward:
• Game tickets
• Travel and medical transport
• Lodging
• End‑of‑life comfort care
If you can’t donate, please share this link so it reaches someone who can
