Starting November 1st, Bexar County is adding emissions testing to your registration renewal. If your car runs on gas and it's a 2002 through 2024, you're getting tested. Everybody else is exempt, meaning no test at all. That's 2001 and older, 2025 and newer, all diesel, all electric, motorcycles and trailers. Got a check engine light on? That's an automatic fail.
