Is that dreaded light on? We know it can be stressful, but it doesn't always mean the worst case. With the Emissions Testing in Bexar County coming up later this year, it is definitely something that needs to be handled before registering your vehicle. Some reasons it is on:
👉A loose or faulty gas cap
👉A failing oxygen sensor
👉Spark plug or ignition coil issues
👉Emissions system concerns
👉More serious engine performance problems

Ignoring the light can led to reduced fuel efficiency, poor performance or cotly damage over time. The safest step? Have it PROFESSIONALLY diagnosed so you know what is going on. An OBDII scanner will NOT tell you, only guide you where to start.

Friday night after work, we were headed to a meeting in Universal City. I'm not exaggerating when I say that in the 7 miles between the shop and our location there were 4 broken down cars in the middle of rush hour. On a freeway where there already is a ton of traffic, construction, and random merges - this was inconvenient and a safety hazard to all on the road. Let's prevent these moments and get our vehicles REGULARLY taken in and inspected for maintenance. How?
👉 During your oil changes - take it to a REPUTABLE place that will inspect your vehicle while the oil is getting changed. Want to be in and out? We can help in our facility as well as refer you to a couple places we would even take our own vehicles to!
👉 A dash light on? Get it diagnosed. As long as that light is on - even if it is on for something minor, could be hiding or contributing to a bigger problem.
👉 After a season - get your vehicle inspected and prepped for the next season. Winter causes brittle rubber to break. Summer contributes to overheating and other issues. Get the AC looked at before it starts to warm up in the spring, etc.
