Looking for Full-Time Automotive Shop Helper that wants to work.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Washes and cleans vehicles as needed.
Willingness to learn and to perform a wide range of tasks.
Excellent communication skills.
May be required to lift, carry or push/pull supplies, materials, equipment and/or items weighing up to 100 pounds.
Help maintain department cleanliness, including window, doors, floors, etc.
Transport customers when needed and requested.
Follow all safety and security procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Straighten bent automobile frames. *File, grind and sand repaired surfaces:
• Fill depressions with body filler. *Remove damaged fenders, panels.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical parts:
• Aim headlights, bleed brake system, etc.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and electric window-and-seat-operating equipment and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders.
• Bolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment.

Requirements:

• Complete disassembly of vehicle in order to assist the Estimator with preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repair.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• +5 year’s minimum experience.
• Must have own tools.
• Auto Collision Repair Experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Team player.
• Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
• Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles.
