Job Overview

West Texas Diesel Performance is seeking an experienced Medium-Duty / Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks to ensure safety, reliability, and peak performance.

Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair medium-duty and heavy-duty diesel trucks
• Perform engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and suspension work
• Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, air brake, and aftertreatment systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Use advanced diagnostic software and tools
• Maintain detailed service records
• Follow all shop safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience with engine rebuilds is preferred
• Knowledge of air brake systems
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Field Service Technician – Natural Gas Compression

Overview:
We are actively seeking Field Service Technicians to join our team in the natural gas compression sector. These positions will involve field service work on Caterpillar & Waukesha engines and Ariel and Ingersoll Rand compressors. The primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance (PM) service, and overhauls.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform field service work on Caterpillar & Waukesha engines and Ariel & Ingersoll Rand compressors

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs

Conduct regular preventive maintenance services

Overhaul engines and compressors as needed

Work independently and as part of a team to meet customer needs

Travel to job sites as required (company truck provided)

Maintain safety standards and comply with all company policies and procedures

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in the compression industry or similar field service work

Own tools required

Willingness to work 50-60 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours during busy periods

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Must be reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
