Be honest. When you first saw that little button instead of a handbrake lever, did you panic a little? πŸ˜…

We get it. But here is the kicker: that fancy button is tied to a computer, and it needs some serious TLC when it is time for brake service. Ignore it, and you could be looking at a very expensive oopsie.

We have the tools, the tech, and the Texas pride to get it done right. But do not take our word for it; click the link to our blog to find out why your EPB needs a pro, not a YouTube tutorial. πŸ‘‡

Alright, San Angelo luxury SUV owners, let's talk about that awkward moment your ride decides to take a permanent nap on the pavement. πŸ›‘

You know the feeling: you walk out to your Range Rover or Mercedes and it's sitting lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut. Is it a new stance? A style choice? No, it's your air suspension waving a white flag!

At Ric Henry's Auto Service, we've been rescuing these high-tech beauties since before they were "high-tech." We have the tools, the tech, and the Texas pride to get your ride riding like a cloud again.

🌑️ It's July in San Angelo. The asphalt is melting. Your steering wheel could cook an egg. And you're letting your car idle for ten minutes while the AC "gets going"?

We've got a question for you: Are you actually helping your engine, or are you just wasting gas and creating more heat under the hood?

We've got a new blog post that might change your entire summer driving routine. The short answer? Yes, idling wastes gas AND causes premature engine wear, especially when it's hot enough to make a lizard pant.

We're talking carbon deposits, heat-soaked cooling systems, and why that old-school habit from Grandpa's carbureted days doesn't apply to your modern vehicle in July. Plus, we reveal the fastest way to actually cool down your cabin (hint: it involves driving, not sitting).

πŸ‘‰ Click the link to read the full blog post and find out how to save gas, protect your engine, and get cold AC faster this summer:

Drop a comment: How long do you let your car idle in this heat before driving off? Be honest... we're all sweating together on this one! πŸ₯΅

San Angelo, does your car smell like a pancake breakfast? 🍁

That sweet scent is coolant, and it means you have a leak that needs immediate attention.

At Ric Henry's Auto Service, we have been keeping San Angelo drivers safe since 1966. We use dealer-level tools, offer concierge pickup, and back every repair with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty.

We explain the repair before we sell it because we believe in honesty and transparency. Click the link below to read the blog we wrote about thisπŸ‘‡

The Texas heat is tough on cooling systems. Trust our family-owned legacy to handle yours right. Because the only thing that should smell like maple syrup in Texas is your breakfast plate, not your daily driver.

Have you ever noticed a sweet smell coming from your vehicle? What did you do about it? Drop your story in the comments!

πŸš—πŸ’₯ Why does your car hate you? Just kidding. But if you're replacing the same fuse for the third time this month, your car is definitely trying to tell you something.
The truth about blown fuses? They're never the real problem. They're just the messenger. And ignoring that message could leave you stranded on Houston Harte with your hazards flashing and your AC crying for mercy.

We wrote a whole blog about what actually causes fuses to blow, what symptoms to watch for, and why guessing games with electrical repairs are a terrible idea.
Here's a hint: the answer involves diagnosing the real issue, not just swapping in a higher-amp fuse because you "know what you're doing." (You don't. And that's okay. That's literally our job.)

Drop the "I can figure this out" act and click the link. Your car will thank you. Your wallet will thank you. And we'll thank you by doing the job right the first time.
Question for you: What's the most interesting thing you've ever seen used as a "temporary fix" for a blown fuse? We'll wait. πŸ‘‡

Battery dead AGAIN? πŸ₯΅πŸ”‹

You didn't leave the lights on. You didn't leave the door open. Yet your car decided to take an unscheduled vacation this morning. The culprit? A parasitic drain, the automotive equivalent of a gremlin sipping your battery's milkshake while you sleep.

Here in San Angelo, our triple-digit heat makes this problem hit different. That little electrical leak that would take a month to kill your battery in Minnesota? In Texas, it'll do the job in three days flat.

Our team at Ric Henry's Auto Service has been tracking down these phantom power thieves since 1966. We've got the tools, the tech, and the patience to find that sneaky module that refuses to go to sleep.

πŸ”₯ TURBO OR SUPERCHARGER? πŸ”₯

That is the question that starts more arguments than politics at a family barbecue! We just dropped a new blog breaking down everything you need to know about forced induction. Turbo lag vs instant boost? Whistle vs whine? Efficiency vs raw power?

We have been serving San Angelo since 1966, and we have seen it all. Click the link to read our full breakdown and find out which power adder is right for your ride.

Here is our question for you: If you could only pick one for the rest of your driving days, are you Team Turbo or Team Supercharger?

β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™God Bless Texas. God Bless America. And God Bless the 250th birthday of the greatest nation on earth. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

Out here in San Angelo, we know what freedom looks like. It looks like sun-scorched ranch land. It looks like the Concho River glinting at sunset. It looks like neighbors waving from their porches and flags snapping in a West Texas breeze.

This July 4th, we celebrate 250 years of independence. 250 years of courage. 250 years of men and women who sacrificed everything so we could fire up our trucks, gather our families, and watch the sky light up over the good ol' USA.

At Ric Henry's Auto Service, we're proud to be part of this community. Proud to keep y'all rolling. And proud to be American.

So this weekend, enjoy that brisket. Savor that sweet tea. Hug your babies a little tighter. Watch those fireworks with wonder in your eyes.

But listen close, friends:

🍺 If you drink, don't drive. Hand those keys to a sober driver or call a ride. We want to see you back in our shop next week, not in the news.

🧨 And keep a close eye on the little ones around fireworks. Sparklers are beautiful, but they're hot enough to melt metal. Let's keep all our San Angelo kids safe.

This is our country. Our home. Our 250th birthday.
Happy Independence Day, San Angelo. We love you. We love this nation. And we're always proud to serve you.

Stars, stripes, and street-ready rides! β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

This July 3rd, Ric Henry’s Auto Service is OPEN and firing on all cylinders because we want every San Angelo family to make it to the lake, the river, or where ever your loved ones are for America’s 250th birthday celebration.

Whether you're heading out to Twin Buttes, cruising down Knickerbocker, or just rolling through downtown with your flags waving, don't let a shaky wheel or a hot engine ground your holiday.

We're here. We're ready. And we've got your back like a good West Texas neighbor should.

Happy 250th, y'all. Let's make it a safe one. πŸŽ†πŸ”§
