Did you know that most Mercedes-Benz cars and SUVs have a helpful trick - the 'Hood Service Position' allows their hoods to be locked in a 90-degree upright position thanks to their unique hinges. With the hood almost vertical, this creates much more room to work inside the engine bay.

The sign of a properly torqued bolt. Painting a line onto a bolt allows you or any other mechanic to visually check that a bolt, plug or any fastener has not loosened or turned. For decades, witness marks were scratched into metal and the bolt heads. Since then bright paint has made things much easier to visually check. The industry standard is now Torque Seal, a bright paste that cures and will visually crack if the bolt begins to move. You'll find that we'll commonly mark oil drain plugs, differential drain plugs and suspension components.

If your air conditioning couldn't keep up with the heat last week, it might be due to something as simple as needing to replace your cabin air filters. Not every A/C issue requires a major teardown or replacing expensive parts!

Something as simple as a small gasket becoming brittle over time and no longer being able to seal properly - and that lead to the VTEC engine timing system in this Honda to stop operating.

Was your A/C not as cold as it used to be in last week's heat? Something as small as a gasket (like this one) could be the source of a leak within your vehicle's air conditioning system. Get your A/C back before that next heat wave hits us.

Leaks, faulty compressors, clogged evaporators. We've seen it all and have the proper equipment to fully charge your A/C system too.

No repair is too small for us. The 'simple' task of changing a headlight bulb is no longer so simple on newer vehicles. For some cars and trucks, like this F-150, the wheel liner needs to be removed to even reach the back of the headlight housing.

We are here to help keep your vehicle in top shape, so never hesitate to give us a call if there's been a minor need that has been put off or you keep meaning to get to eventually.

A bad fan clutch caused the engine temperature to continually rise above the ideal operating temperature for this Nissan Xterra. The secondary electric fan was doing the best that it could to keep the engine from overheating, but it was never going to be able to produce as much airflow as the main, mechanically driven fan - especially when this 4x4 was being taken out into the mountains.

Now it's ready for the next adventure! No more worries about overheating the engine in the summer heat.

Why would a Volvo that is in great condition have a Check Engine Light and a ton of stored fault codes? It all had to do with the secondary battery that the start/stop system relies on. Once that battery cannot provide enough voltage, other systems in the car cannot communicate and it creates a cascade of fault codes. Drop a new battery in and this Volvo is right back out onto the road!
