We had so much fun at this year's Ken Garff For Good Literacy Initiative Celebration at The Living Planet Aquarium This year, nearly 40,000 Utah elementary school students participated in Ken Garff for Good's Bike Giveaway Reading Challenge. Together these students read nearly 200,000 books and logged 40 million reading minutes 📕📘 🤩

Every year, the students who read at least 1,800 minutes in the Read-A-Thon are entered to win a brand new bicycle, and one student from each participating school wins. 🚲✨We awarded 65 students with bikes at this awesome event--79 total bikes!

Additionally, one Read-A-Thon student from each of the 23 school districts also won a $1,000 college scholarship, courtesy of my529. We’re so proud of these amazing readers! 🌟📚

Our Dewey Ford dealership in Des Moines, IA, donated a 2024 Ford Edge to Central Campus for high school students to use as a hands-on training tool to learn vehicle maintenance and repair. Last week we hosted the annual 2026 Ken Garff Hole-in-One Challenge with Ken Garff For Good! Golfers who made a hole-in-one won a new car from Ken Garff ✨🚗 This year, out of 504 golfers, we had seven hole-in-one golfers who got to drive home in a new Ken Garff car! 👏⛳

This event raised $553,000, which will go towards supporting Ken Garff For Good's four initiatives: literacy, mentorship, technology, and college readiness 📚🖥️
