I’m not a fan of electric, or hybrid cars. Nor did I find this car attractive, but this is a tragic story nonetheless. I never understood what GM’s plan was with this car. They leased them to customers in the southwest for a short time, then took them back and crushed them. Although there were a few survivors. It’s a sad ending to a car that was pretty far ahead of its time in 1997. I respect it for what it was, and the forward thinking mentality that brought it to life, if only for a short time. It certainly does deserve its place in automotive history.
