Intermountain R/C Raceway is located in Salt Lake City, UT near the Oquirrah mountains just south of highway 21. For over 27 years, the Intermountain Raceway has been the premier indoor off-road track in Utah. Besides the indoor off-road dirt track, we also have a recently re-surfaced outdoor on-road track. We host regular competitions on both tracks all year long. We have a REAL indoor rock garden that can be changed at any time, great for 1.9 crawlers. Intermountain R/C Raceway is home to the second longest running Off-Road race in the country, The April Fools Classic (25th anniversary in 2013)
The April Fools Classic is one of the do not miss races in the country with top name drivers from around the country attending each year. In addition to the raceway, IRCR is a full-fledged hobby shop offering a large inventory of parts consistent with most retail hobby shops. If you can't find what you need we will gladly order it for you. We purchase from local and national distributors with a quick turn around, in some cases we can get your item the same day.

🏁 Saturday On-Road Racing — Roll Call!

We’re looking at getting some on-road racing going this Saturday at RMRCR, but first we want to hear from you!

Before we commit to firing up the timing system, we want to get a feel for how many racers are interested in coming out and what classes everyone wants to run.

🏎️ Planning to race? Drop a comment with your class (or classes) below!

👀 Interested but not sure yet? Let us know that too!
We’re hoping to get a good group together for some Saturday racing, but we need your help figuring out what kind of turnout to expect.

So, who’s in? And what are you bringing? 👇🏁
We’ll make a final decision based on interest and keep everyone updated!

🏁 Off-Road Racing Tonight at RMRCR!

Joe Krone’s 21.5 2WD buggy is looking sharp and ready to turn some laps tonight! 🔥

The question is, will it be looking this clean by the end of the night? 👀

Who’s coming out to join Joe on the track tonight? 🏎️💨

🏁 Wednesday Night Worlds — A First-Time Winner! 🏆

We’re a little behind on our race recaps, but this one deserves some recognition!

Last Wednesday (10/7), Kingston Pedockie picked up his FIRST 21.5 race win! 🎉

Starting from the TQ position, Kingston put together a solid 20-lap run to take the checkered flag, finishing 8.640 seconds ahead of Kurstin Hardy.

🏆 TQ: Kingston Pedockie
⚡ Fast Lap in the A-Main: Kurstin Hardy — 14.136 seconds

A-Main Results:

🥇 Kingston Pedockie — 20 laps, 5:03.112
🥈 Kurstin Hardy— 20 laps, 5:11.752
🥉 Cody Cook— 19 laps, 5:05.206

Cody made his way from fifth on the starting grid to third, while Kurstin proved that the fastest lap doesn’t always guarantee the win!

Congratulations to Kingston on his milestone victory! It’s always fun watching racers improve, find their rhythm, and put it all together for that first win.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for another round of Wednesday Night Worlds at RMRCR! 💚💙
