We had a draw hunt at the coast, didn't want to pass up the chance to hunt at the coast in the snow on the last day of the season. Worth every penny, 3 limits of teal and a widgeon and a 4 hour ride that became 6. This snow actually wasn't bad to drive in. Didn't know I was going to come home to a blizzard

Well, one more boat in the books. Just a few finishing touches left. This ATC is headed to Wyoming, a first for one of my boats. As soon as I get the transom bracket, this 25th Anniversary HDR 5000 will get hung on the back and painted to match. Special thanks to all of the kids that lended a hand in this project and thanks to all of those who have helped including @ and as well as Lou Tisch at Lock, Stock, and Barrell for the paint as it has helped us put money back in the program. It looks to be 5 more years until I retire from teaching and at that point Toller Boatworks will be "closing" it's doors after almost 30 years of building boats to focus on the other side business With that being a said, if you've been dreaming of a Toller boat, you need to hop on the list😅

Many of you have seen the annual father son pictures from our trip to Wilsom Creek. My former coworker, Kelcey and her family run the Brown Mountain resort. I know so many are in need but if you have the means, please donate. Here's from the GoFundMe website and I've included a link in my Bio.

Jeremy and Kelsey Wallace and their family own, operate, and live up on Brown Mountain Beach Resort in Lenoir, NC. Yesterday, September 27th, 2024, they were devastated by catastrophic damage, not only to the facilities at the resort but to their homes on the property. They had to be saved from the roaring creek, stuck in a treetop holding on for their lives! They have no home to sleep in, no clothes to change into, all lost to the rising creek.

The Wallaces have 3 kids and are great people who have worked hard to build a paradise tucked away in the mountains of North Carolina for families to get away, relax, and enjoy nature, as well as a place for lovers to share their vows. Our family has made yearly trips to Brown Mountain for the last several years, and it's heartbreaking to see the images and destruction of what Mother Nature has brought to our yearly retreat. Please consider donating anything you can to help the Wallace family buy clothes, clean up, rebuild, and do what they can to get back on their feet

Soooooo....I was looking for parts for the '38 the other night when I stumbled across this 1939 1 ton with a lot of things I really wanted but were impossible to find or too expensive. So what's a guy (with a very loving wife, mind you) to do? She's (the truck, not my wife) now in the driveway with her sister. Granted, they won't be sisters long as the wife is loving and understanding, but not enough for 2 old trucks 🤣

A little about the 39, she has 12,500 original miles 😮 and began life as tow truck. Hydraulic brakes, dealer installed turn signals, two brake lights, and a heater! Came with a ton of extra parts that had been collected over the years. It needs the wood bed but I have all the original metal stock that went between them as well as a chunk of the original bed wood that I can use for the profile. Easy enough project for sure! Seat needs to be recovered, but the springs are good. I can't wait to get her cleaned up and the Compass Woodworks Co logos on! Overall great condition and fires right up. If you know anyone in the market for the 1938 let me know!

Happy Birthday to me 🤣 What have i gotten myself into. Runs like a top, all original and solid. I'm going to keep the patina, have the Compass Woodworks Co logo put on the side and have it clear coated. Spruce up the interior a bit and call it a day! Can't wait to do a little Sunday driving!
