Need to give a big Thank You to a couple of track sponsors. United Rentals your Genie S-65 XC lift is amazing. Anyone needing to get safely up to 65 ft in the air this is the machine. Also Scott with Track Light who went 65ft up to properly aim the new lights. Terry his helper was assisting him. Also Alexander, Bob and Greg who helped me hang all these lights. We just ordered the final 10 lights to finish lighting the corners. Next year the entire track will have LED Lights in place.

The sun is setting on an amazing 2026 season! Tonight 90+ race teams have checked in to bid the year farewell and YOU can still be part of it! Absolutely beautiful weather and great times are in store, come out to help us celebrate the end of the season. One last chance to see racing!

🏁 It’s RACE DAY at Salina Speedway! 🏁

With Mother Nature not playing nice and ending our season early we decided “What the heck?” Let’s give it a shot and race tonight! We owe it to our fans and race teams to go out on top in 2026!

Tonight all 6 weekly divisions will be in action! This will be a non-sanctioned and non-points race with the normal weekly payouts. IMCA rules still apply. Lineup procedures will be slightly different, with a draw for heat race starting positions and features lined up off heat race finish with a dice roll to determine how many positions we will invert.

This is your last chance to see racing before the speedway heads into hibernation mode for the winter! Let’s pack the pits and stands for a proper send off!

Heat races will be lined up by draw and features will be lined up heads up from heat Race finishes with a dice roll invert.

Speedway update: it been a rough 3 weekends for us. Final two races now the highly anticipated Thunder on the Plains fireworks show all canceled. Setting the record straight I don't blame them for canceling the show. They are the ones with money to lose if the show couldn't happen after people traveled to put it on. But I always believed I could make it happen because I know the the speedway and how it drys after rains.parking lot is completely dry, Infield will be dry in a few hours, pits 50% dry will be completely dry by tonight. This is how I said it would be. I've been right before and I've been wrong. This time I was right. Again I can't blame them for canceling. Here's a couple of current pictures
