Ned Talk: September Maintenance Advice
"After 27 years in the shop, first as a technician and now as Service Manager, I’ve learned that September is the most deceptive month for your car. Summer heat does the hidden damage, but the first autumn chill is what exposes it." — Ned Check out our September maintenance tips below.
1. Test Your Battery Summer heat bakes the internal plates of your battery, breaking down its capacity. It might turn the engine over fine when it's warm, but as September nights cool down, a weakened battery will fail without warning.
2. Replace Your Wiper Blades Months of UV exposure dry out wiper rubber, causing tearing and severe streaking during heavy autumn rains.
Hartnell Chevrolet services and maintains all makes and models. Stop in today to get your battery tested and wiper blades replaced and if you've noticed your tire tread is getting low while checking your vehicle over, hold tight just a few weeks longer for our major Tire Promotion coming in October!
