🚨 A Day in the Life of a Tow Truck Driver
The day starts early at V W Towing & Recovery. Before the first call comes in, the tow truck driver checks the truck, inspects the equipment, secures the chains and straps, and makes sure everything is ready for the road.
Then the phone rings.
“V W Towing & Recovery, how can we help?”
It could be a driver with a flat tire, someone locked out of their vehicle, a car that won't start, an accident on the highway, or a vehicle that needs to be moved from private property. Every call is different, and you never know what the next job will bring.
A tow truck driver's job isn't just about hooking up a vehicle and driving away. It takes skill, patience, attention to safety, and good customer service. When someone is having one of the worst moments of their day, the tow truck driver is often the person who shows up to help.
On an accident call, safety comes first. The driver evaluates the scene, positions the truck carefully, secures the vehicle, and works to clear the roadway safely. On a simple breakdown, it may be as easy as a jump start or tire change—or it may require a full tow.
There are also the long days: traffic, bad weather, difficult parking situations, heavy vehicles, and unexpected problems. But every successful recovery brings the same reward:
Getting someone safely back on the road.
By the end of the day, the truck may be dirty, the driver may be tired, and there may still be another call waiting. That's the life of a tow truck driver.
Early mornings. Late nights. Long hours. Dangerous roads.
But most importantly:
We show up when people need us.
