WR3 Auto Restoration

WR3 Auto Restoration WR3 Auto is a classic car and truck restoration and customization shop. I perform mechanical repairs, engine rebuilds, body and paint.

Trying to get my business off the ground. I can do most things in the auto repair department. Although at this time I do not have a scanner for reading codes on newer cars. On the auto body and paint side of things I pretty much tackle it all. I love the challenge of custom paint work.

I know my skill level isn’t up there with the best but I’m still only charging a small fraction of what I should be. This and time management are why my shop can’t be my sole source of income.

A friend of ours, Jeff Murphy, dragged his unrestored '69 Mustang Mach 1 onto a trailer and sent it off to a restoration shop after it languished in his walk-ou

On the old Studebaker I wanted to update the charging system a little and get rid of the old generator. In its place will be a GM style alternator. It wasn’t going to work with the old bracket so I found some scrap metal and whipped up a new bracket. Now the belt lines up perfectly.

I haven't put anything on here about the '59 Studebaker for a long time. I'm planning on getting this project back on track and get some progress going on. I'm currently working on the frame. Rebuilding the front end and adding disc brakes. Then I will get it all painted.

The rest of it is still ugly but at least the engine looks and runs nice! I got this one in from the shop next to mine. He doesn't like working on older stuff. The car is a '77 Nova with a 305ci. It was a mess when I got it. It had an old single plane Holley intake manifold with a marine carburetor on it and the timing cover was not the right one for a 305. After getting it back together it was still not running right. Swapped the distributor and now it's purring right along!
