We were so honored to be a part of this amazing event celebrating America! It was an absolutely perfect day and the community spirit was felt by all. Parade participation, concert and fireworks exceeded everyone’s expectations! The bar was set high in this inaugural event and can’t wait to do this every year and see the event continue to grow. Happy 4th!!! 🇺🇸
🇺🇸 What an incredible way to celebrate America 250 in Salado!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made our America 250 Parade such a memorable celebration! We were thrilled to welcome 68 golf cars filled with families, friends, patriotic pups, and some of the most creative red, white, and blue decorations we've ever seen.
A very special THANK YOU goes to our presenting sponsor, Bourland Golf Cars, for helping make this community celebration possible. Your support helped make this event a tremendous success!
This year's parade featured a People's Choice decorating contest, with spectators casting their ballots before the parade began. As soon as the final golf car rolled out of the staging area, our volunteers got to work counting every vote, and the winners were announced at Tablerock just before the start of the Grand Ol' Americana Show.
🏆 Congratulations to our People's Choice Winners!
🥇 1st Place: # 38 - Rachel Poe
🥈 2nd Place: #39 - Filla George
🥉 3rd Place: #24 - Raquel Perkins
Each winner received a beautiful commemorative plaque, perfect for displaying with pride and earning a few well-deserved bragging rights!
We'd also like to address one question we've heard regarding the Grand Marshal. From the very beginning, our published plans and advertising stated that the parade would be led by a veteran, and we were honored to fulfill that commitment. We are incredibly grateful for the service and sacrifice of all our veterans, and it was our privilege to recognize one of them in this special way.
As with any first-time event, we appreciate the feedback we've received. We remain committed to clear communication and transparency as we continue building this tradition. Our goal has always been to create a fun, family-friendly celebration that honors our country and brings the community together.
To everyone who decorated a golf car, volunteered, sponsored, attended, or simply cheered along the route, thank you for making this inaugural America 250 Parade one to remember.
We're already planning an even bigger and better parade next year!
If you'd like to be part of making it happen, we'd love to have you on the team. Whether you'd like to help with planning, sponsorships, logistics, decorating, or event day activities, send us a DM, email us, or give us a call or text. New volunteers and fresh ideas are always welcome!
Thank you again, Salado, for helping us celebrate America—and our incredible community—in such a memorable way. ❤️🤍💙
