Leej Lee, just 23 years old, bought himself a 2018 McLaren 570S Spider as a gift for his 24th birthday.
Back in high school, he was the kid who dreamed about owning a supercar one day. Instead of just talking about it, he set goals, went to a tech school became a “Plumber” and built his career into sales, worked hard, and stayed focused.
Today, that dream is sitting in his garage.
It’s inspiring to see a young enthusiast turn a childhood dream into reality through dedication, sacrifice, and hard work. Stories like this prove that with the right mindset, goals can become achievements.
Congratulations on the McLaren and the success that made it possible. Enjoy every mile.
What were your dream cars when you were younger? 🏎️💨

I was introduced to cars when Fast Five was released. It lit a spark in me. The way the cars looked, the sounds they made, and the excitement they brought reminded me of being a kid riding around with my pops in his Integra every day because it was his daily driver.
Back then, I had never even heard of a McLaren. Then I watched Fast & Furious and saw Shaw driving one. I remember thinking how cool it looked and how most people had no idea what it was. Even then, I knew I wanted something different.
Years later, I met someone who owned a McLaren 570S. He gave me the opportunity to sit in it and rev the engine. The moment I did, I fell in love with the car and told myself, “I’m going to own one someday.”
I want young people to understand something. If you can do it now, do it fully and with no regrets. Time doesn’t wait for anyone. There is no perfect timing. The time is now. It starts with believing in yourself first.
And I can honestly say it feels amazing to be driving a dream car at a young age. Everywhere I go, the car gets attention. The speed, the sound, the feeling behind the wheel…it was everything I imagined and more. For me, it’s worth every penny.
But after the McLaren, there’s one more car dream I have.
I’m going back to get an Integra and finish the build my pops always dreamed of. Life forced him to let it go, but I’m going to bring it back. This time, we’ll finish it together.
