The famous “sign in the tree” became a local landmark for travelers passing through St. Matthews—and thankfully, a piece of it was preserved for us to remember today.

One of our favorite traditions isn't inside the shop—it's being out in the community with all of you.
Whether it's the Orangeburg County Fair, the St. Matthews Christmas Parade, the Purple Martin Festival, or other local events, we're always proud to represent the community that has supported our family business since 1955.

Did you know Hutto’s Transmission wasn’t always called Hutto’s Transmission?
When Paul Hutto opened the business in 1955, it was known as Hutto's Hydramatics, specializing in automatic transmissions of the era. As the automotive industry evolved, so did we—expanding our services and eventually becoming the Hutto's Transmission you know today.
One thing has never changed: our commitment to honest work, quality service, and treating our customers like family.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story over the past 70 years. Here's to many more!
