To make room to install the clutch and brake, as well as the vintage air system, the dash must come out! Boy oh boy was that quite the job. Never mind the fact that it all has to be reinstalled without breaking anything! No doubt, it was fun to get the chance to go back in time and see how some of the interior was originally installed in 1977. Stay tuned, next video will be installing the clutch and brake pedals.

We are finally able to install the TKX 5-Speed Transmission in the 77 Corvette! It's a video with very little talking but hopefully still entertaining. The process to get everything to align and finally get the transmission properly installed definitely took more than 8 minutes and some swearing. The clutch that came with this C3 Corvette TKX 5-Speed kit is really cool looking. It's a shame you don't get to enjoy the way it looks once it's installed, but the owner of this Corvette will definitely enjoy using it as he shifts through the gears. The clutch pedal and hydraulic master cylinder ARE INSTALLED!!!!! That turned out to be more of a challenge then we anticipated but they are operating flawlessly. We couldn’t be happier that this part of the project is done. Now onto installing the vintage air system. Let’s get this thing blowing some cold air.

This 77 Corvette will be updated with a new Tremec TKX 5-Speed Transmission using a kit from American PowerTrain, a new Vintage Air conditioning system and a new Holley Sniper fuel injection system. Follow us as we tear into this Corvette and install these major upgrades.
