He has tested positive for covid and will be out of commission for the next several days. They are back…
“FAW” Fall Army Worms.
The last time we had them on record was back on September 17, 2014. Calls about them started coming in over the weekend, not just here, but widespread over several States.
If you have noticed your yard not being quite as green as it was couple of weeks ago, chances could be that you have them. With all of the rain we have been having, yards are looking pretty good.
If you think you may have them or would like me to come by and check, let me know. I will be keeping an eye for them out as well. Prices for treatment vary according to the size of your yard.

Finished up with Late spring applications last week.
Grub preventions and nutsedge apps are in progress. Had a pleasing spring with nice temps and plenty of moisture.
As we settle into summertime keep that mower deck high 3.5-4” on fescue lawns, only mow when needed this will help keep grass from stress.

Since it was rainy this morning and windy this afternoon, it was a good day to hop on the Case IH and aerate a ball field.

A new nutsedge product that look good on the field trials, comes in 2 # shaker can and 15 # bag. Going have to try this out.
It’s suppose to take it out by the nutlets under ground.
