It was a beautiful fall day for a Spirited Cruise with the VOA IL! 👻🎃🍁🧡🏁

On Saturday, October 3rd, a group of 16 Vipers, along with a McLaren and a couple of 1967 Camaros, started out at the Schutte’s in Rockford with donuts and coffee. From there, our group headed out for some curvy back-road driving along Stage Coach Trail and other scenic back roads through Illinois and Iowa.

We enjoyed stops at the Terrapin Ridge Lookout and Council Hill Station near Galena, IL, along with some beautiful views of the Mississippi River.

Lunch was in Bellevue, IA, at the Offshore Bar & Grill, and the evening ended with dinner at Lino’s, a local Italian restaurant in Rockford.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a great day — and to everyone who took and shared pictures! 📸🧡🏁

The first WAGS and WHEELS car show in Morton,IL sponsored by the VOA of IL was a success. This was a fundraiser for 2 very special Animal Rescues "Foster Pet Outreach and Pet Pack Rescue Initiative". We had 20 Vipers and over 110 total cars. Not too bad for our first year. Here are some photos. Thanks Jeremy Walker for the drone photos and Rob and Bonnie Buckman from the ground photos.

Several VOA Illinois members are attending The Tail of the Dragon event in Gatlinburg, Tennessee this week. If you’ve never been Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge it’s a really cute area that reminded us of Wisconsin Dells. We had a great first day and the weather was perfect! Several of us went on a glass Chondola to the Mountain top amusement park and then walked around on the main streets of Gatlinburg. Tonight was the welcome dinner at the Burg steakhouse. We are looking forward to more adventures tomorrow…

Thank you to our hosts the Alabama / Tennessee VOA and Carolinas VOA clubs
