On June 1, 1961, Chuck Charlie Fischer and his wife, Marilyn, opened Fischer's Harley-Davidson which was located at 261 South Grove Ave. Chicago St. By 1997, they out grew their location and built a 15,600-square-foot facility in South Elgin, located at 920 S. McLean Ave. In 2002 the Fishers decided to retire and sold their dealership to the Zylstra Family and it was renamed Zylstra Harley-Davidso

n. After four years, Zylstra outgrew their current home and moved to 131 S. Randall Rd. Charles in December 2006 where they built an 80,000 sq. foot facility built on 37 acres purchased next to the Kane County Fairgrounds that was later acquired by Windy City Motorcycle Company May of 2011 and renamed to Fox River Harley-Davidson. With countless charity rides that take place out of Fox River H-D year after year, they have become to be known as The Dealer That Rides For a Reason.
