There's a reason.

These engines earned their reputation through motorsport-derived engineering and decades of development.

But legendary doesn't mean maintenance-free.

Age, mileage, leaks, cooling-system condition, ignition components, fuel delivery, and previous workmanship all matter when maintaining these cars properly.

It can also be remarkably unforgiving when someone doesn't understand it.
