Ed Randolph opened the doors at 2325 Kanawha Terrace in the fall of 1964. The name of the business back then was Mr Ed's American Service. That was back when there seemed to be a full-serve gasoline service station on every corner in towns all
across America. Back in those days of Top-Value trading stamps (similar to the S&H Green Stamps) that were given out based on how much gas you bought or maybe a six-pack of RC cola. Those days are long since gone but Ed remained a fixture in the St Albans area, Having changed the name (because of gas brand changes) to Ed's Amoco, Ed's Gulf, Ed's Chevron and since June 2010 now known as Ed's Marathon L.L.C. One thing we STILL offer, pretty much the same as back when we opened our doors is the FULL Serve gas sales. One of only 2 in the Kanawha County a person can still pull up to the full serve dispenser and WE will come out to fill your tank, clean your windows and such.... Just like the old days. (No trading stamps though)
