We invited the automotive skilled trades classes from the Saginaw High School Career Complex to visit our shop. We try to encourage young people to consider a career in the automotive field. They really enjoyed seeing the work we do.

351 stroked to 408 at idle. Custom built 1970 Mach 1 for a customer. We are having good results with stroked engines at Mustang craftsmen.

1970 Mach 1 we restored back to original paint color. Came to us as a very rusted body.

We are test driving a a 1970 Mach 1 that we did a complete restoration of a rusted out car. The 351 Cleveland has a stroker kit to 408 CI that we installed when rebuilding. Also a Tremec 5 speed with hydraulic clutch. Much more torque than a standard 351! Customer should be happy.

Looking inside my '69 Mach 1 which has been in storage for 50 years. Close up of the dealer installed tachometer. The dealer used a hose clamp. LOL Floor after we removed the carpet is still pretty nice. I literally just parked and locked the doors when I spun a bearing 50 years ago. Contents of the arm rest. Disco sunglasses, owners manual, plastic film canister, couple of 8 track tapes, stamps you got at the gas station, owners card, proof of insurance. The insurance was in my dad's name since the rate for a 16 year old with a big block Mustang was out of site. How many of you remember what we used the plastic film canister for? Yes there is still some w**d in there. Don't think it will be very good after 50 years.

Looking at more of the 69 Mach 1 that has been in storage for 50 years. I remember the original owner that I bought this Mach from said he wanted all the gages and a tachometer. The optional factory tach instrument panel did not have all six gages so he told me he ordered the standard dash and had the dealer install a Ford dealer accessory tachometer on the column before delivery. My graduation tassel still hangs from the mirror with the "75" on it. We will be looking in the glove box next.

We pulled my high school 69 Mach 1 out of the storge barn. It is a Candy Apple red 390 4 speed. It was parked in my parents barn in 1975 so close that the doors could not be opened. It has been untouched for almost exactly 50 years when I graduated. Two of the pictures are from graduation in 1975. I spun a bearing when racing that summer so parked before it caused any further damage. I bought it from the original owner in 1972. He bought it for racing and we each just drove it the summer so has virtually no rust. The next post will show what we found inside. We will be restoring this all original car and post the progress. Will be done at our Mustang Craftsmen Shop. Our website is Mustangcraftsmen.com

We are running the Eleanor Mustang on the test stand. We built a 427 stroker using a 351 Dart block. It should be around 500 hp. We choose this because it will have the power of a big block but with less weight more room in the engine compartment.
