✨ AUTO REPAIR SHOP POSITION ✨

Automotive Quality Control Technician (QC) – Final Line of Defense
Pay: $16–$20 per hour (based on experience with vehicles and auto repair shops)

No personal tools required for this position 🛠

We are an established auto repair shop hiring a Quality Control Technician to be the final line of defense in our company’s quality standards. 👍 This position plays a critical role in how repairs are delivered, how our store looks, and how our customers experience our business. 👀

This role is about pride, consistency, speed, safety, and attention to detail.

What this role is responsible for:

👉 You will perform digital inspections on every serviced vehicle before it is returned to the customer
👉 You will quality check and test drive every vehicle serviced to ensure repairs were completed correctly, safely, and to our standards
👉 You will perform mini cleans on serviced vehicles before delivery
👉 You will act as shop support, helping keep daily operations moving smoothly
👉 You will run errands as needed, including dropping off and picking up customers, returning cores, and picking up shop supplies
👉 You will perform daily inspections and mini cleans on all loaner vehicles
👉 You will manage the cleanliness, organization, fueling, and basic upkeep of the loaner car fleet
👉 You will clean, organize, and maintain the shop daily, especially during downtime
👉 You will help protect our reputation by catching issues before the customer ever sees the vehicle

Who this position is ideal for:

🖐️ This role is perfect for someone who loves working around vehicles but does not want to be a full-time technician
🖐️ It is also a great entry point for someone who wants to become a technician and learn the auto repair business without the stress of flat-rate or heavy production
🖐️ A strong fit for an experienced technician looking to slow down or transition into a lower-stress role
🖐️ Someone who takes pride in quality, organization, and doing things the right way

What we’re looking for:

✅ Automotive experience preferred but not required
✅ You must be fast, detail-oriented, and safety-focused at the same time
✅ OCD-level attention to detail is a big plus
✅ Clean driving record required
✅ Strong work ethic and willingness to support the shop wherever needed
✅ Professional attitude and high standards for cleanliness

This is a highly respected position within our auto repair shop. When a QC technician signs off on a vehicle, everyone knows it meets our standards.

Our Story

Gales General Service Center, LLC is a family owned business providing the community of Bridgeport and surrounding areas with honest and professional auto repair. Owned by Andy and Nadia Gales, it was started in July of 2009. They use today’s latest automotive technology and are equipped to handle all major and minor repairs on foreign and domestic vehicles. They understand that a vehicle is a major investment, and that is why they care for each customer’s vehicle as if it were their own.

Time is valuable to our customers, so we try to get their vehicles in and out as fast as possible, typically the same day. I think that’s why people appreciate our services. We don’t try to sell a customer anything they don't want nor need; we fix the problem in which they initially approached us and give recommendations for anything they may want to be aware of regarding future repairs. We make mistakes, we’re human, but we know how to own up to our mistakes and correct a problem when it happens.

Andy is an ASE automotive certified technician with a natural born ability to fix anything. People always call him “Handy Andy”. He is the true definition of “Jack of all trades”. He has an eye for detail and is an extreme perfectionist.

Aside from Andy’s credentials, all of the technicians at the shop are ASE Certified. Nadia is a graduate of Northwood University in Midland, MI. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Management. She has worked in customer service her entire career and is focused on the importance of customer service in any business.
