Today I had a customer hire me to come out and double check a diagnosis from a huge automotive chain shop. I'm not going to mention their name because of the possibility of a frivolous lawsuit. Heck these days have gotten out of control for how a giant T.V. advertising national chain shop that starts with an "M" can get away with what they tried to get away with.
I was shown a repair order by my customer listing all the items that should be replaced. They said the power steering rack, shocks in front and rear were shot, control arm bushings shredded, and C.V. boots torn all around. Total cost to fix these problems? $8000!! for a car valued at $7000 at best.
Their cost to diagnose? $79.
Beware of low cost diagnostics people, because they're going to make it up on the back end.
The real kicker is, after I inspected everything they claimed needed immediate attention, THE only thing wrong was a slight leak at the P.S. rack! Bushings, shocks and c.v. boots were absolutely fine, no damage. I also showed my customer in person, proof of my findings. Why is the Army Core of Engineers proposing a project to remove trees along the American River between Watt Ave. and Howe Ave.?
They claim there is a flood risk perhaps along this strip and yet the last known risk of flood was documented in 1850 and again in 1862!
Since then, trees have strengthened the river paths and there has not been a threat to our way of living or floods, mind you, for over 163 years!
So, why now have the "ARMY CORE OF ENGINEERS" decided to tear out trees, which are the natural core of river banks strength and beauty? With root systems to keep things strong and in place naturally ? They propose to destroy the river bank, widen it and without reason destroy the natural environment, making it into a concrete jungle. This will be a catastrophe, and without the root structures of trees to bind the bank together, will do the opposite!

I urge you to get involved and dispute this proposal, BEFORE it looks like a Los Angeles spill way aqueduct!

They have already destroyed trees and natural habitats along a stretch near Sac. State college which used to be lush and full of life.
What is next?
Are we going to live in an urban jungle of concrete and sparseness?

I just wanted to let the Face Book community know that I am doing a lot .more pre purchase inspections and am getting calls for these services from all around the world including Dubai.

During these hard times of the Corona pandemic, my heart goes out to all those who are affected, which in this case are most of us. I'm using precautionary measures to insure the safety of my clients by wearing gloves and social distancing.
There seems to be some discrepancies as to the efficiency of wearing masks, and the possibility of this virus being airborne, so I am practicing "social distancing" and making sure to use the HECK out of hand sanitizers. If you have vehicle problems, please know that I'm available and also feel confident that I am taking every measure to insure that I am healthy. As a side note, to all those who are interested in health and alternative ways to boost your immune system, I urge you to explore the things I am about to suggest as a means to boost your immune system.

I have a daily regiment that I follow listing the items I currently take and have had great success with even prior to this pandemic that have been proven to help greatly boost your white blood cells (fighters) and optimize immune function. Currently I take Ultimate Monolauren, Garlic oil gel caps, Oregano oil caps, Astragalus herb caps, Evening Primrose, and vitamin C. If you research these outside of common vit C you'll find these to be anti viral and anti bacterial, so the virus will hopefully not want to inhabit your environment.
