IT’S CALLED TEAMWORK – A prior customer came in, only to find that his usual representative was away. Just like family, another sales professional stepped up. The project involved getting a ’69 Dodge Dart up to speed to give to the customer’s son. With the same sense of family and attention to detail, we put together a great system consisting of Kicker LX amps, AudioControl speakers and a Sony radio in an under-dash kit. Our skilled install tech did a great job on the kick panel and back-package-tray speakers. We had this Dart pounding with a pair of Kicker CompQ 10 subwoofers! ROCKIN’ THE DUNES – The owner of a Polaris Pro RZR came in with a factory-stock sound system. This is his second RZR, and the owner called the current system “very underwhelming,” complaining that it distorted when turned up. He asked about adding additional speakers and an amp to bring up the total volume and clarity. Because we work on a lot of similar toys, knew exactly what to add to really bring this Polaris to life. We installed the AudioControl ACX300.4 UTV amplifier to deliver clean power and linked it to two pairs of Kicker 45KM654L marine speakers. We installed one pair in a door pod that was made by SSV Works and installed the second pair in 6.5-inch cage pods that mount to the roll bar. Upon completion our customer said this is exactly what he was looking for. He left excited to hit the trails and let everyone hear what a RZR should sound like. We had a repeat customer bring back their vehicle for another car audio upgrade. Previously, this gentleman brought in his Dodge Challenger for bass. Now, for this trip, he wanted more bass as well as new car speakers and a head unit. Wanting to keep the radio looking as factory as possible, we went with the Kenwood Excelon DPX594BT Bluetooth Double Din receiver. This head unit is SiriusXM ready, has Bluetooth for hands free calling and music streaming and a CD receiver. For the door speakers, they installed the JL Audio C2-690TX 6X9 speakers. In the dash, they went with the JL Audio C2-350x coaxial speakers. For bass, this gentleman already had a single JL Audio W7 12 inch subwoofer but wanted to add another in a custom-built enclosure. Updating his radio and speakers definitely made this customer smile and happy to get back on the road. Today at our Sacramento location, we had a customer bring in a 1972 VW Bus needing a car audio upgrade. Having no radio as well as no speakers this customer didn’t know where to start. Being greeted by our manager, this gentleman was shown all of the best single din radios that would fit his bus. He decided on the JVC KDT915BTS Bluetooth Receiver. With no mounting options for speakers, we used the Q Bomb 6.5 box as well as the 6X9 boxes house our Kenwood sport series KFC1666S 6.5 car speakers and KFC6966S 6x9 speakers for some awesome sound. A customer came into our Sacramento location with a 2017 Ford Mustang convertible looking to upgrade his car audio system with some bass. He wanted to utilize most of the small space he had in his trunk. After reviewing several options, the gentleman really enjoyed the sound of the JL Audio HO112W6V3 Loaded Subwoofer Enclosure. The tech crew matched this box with the Kenwood Excelon XR6011 Mono Amplifier for clean power. We had a customer bring in their 2004 Nissan 350Z looking for a car audio and car stereo upgrade. Greeted by our salesman, she explained her need for Apple CarPlay and better sound. Starting from the top down, he showed her our best selection of Kenwood units and decided she liked the DDX6906S. This Touch Screen Radio not only had Apple CarPlay but Bluetooth for hands free calling and music streaming. We had a customer come into the shop with their newly acquired grey on black 2016 Mercedes CLA250. Already equipped with the factory Harmon Kardon sound system, this gentleman was still lacking the bass he wanted. After explaining this to the store manager, he was shown all the product we carry and ultimately landed on JL Audio. For woofers, we went with 2 W6 10 inch subwoofers powered by a JL Audio amp model RD1000/1. To work off of his factory head unit, we went with Audio Control LC2i and wired it with the TSPEC PROV10RAK4 amp kit. At our Sacramento location, we had a repeat customer bring in their new water toy, a 22’ Yamaha Jet Boat for a sound system upgrade for the upcoming season. With some existing factory speakers, this gentleman wanted to be heard out on the water. Being greeted by our Assistant Manager, this customer wanted to go right into marine grade options for his boat. After reviewing his options, he decided to go with an awesome JL Audio setup. At Audio Express in Sacramento, we had a customer come in with their newly acquired lifted 2002 Ford F350. Looking amazing on the outside it was definitely due for an interior car audio upgrade. Being greeted by our salesman, this gentleman showed off his list of wants and needs. First, they went over the latest head units and decided on the Kenwood Excelon DNX696S with built in Garmin navigation as well as the option for Apple Car Play or Android Auto. For all interior speakers, this customer chose the Kenwood Excelon KFCX683C coaxial speakers and to power them with the JL Audio RD400/4 4 channel amplifier. Now for some big bass for this big truck. An awesome system like this needed a top of the line security system, so we installed a 5706V Viper remote start security system along with the VSM550 Smart Start module for complete control of the vehicle from his mobile device. We had a customer bring in their newly purchased Chevy Express Van. The gentleman expressed not wanting anything fancy but needed some entertainment for the kids as well as some functionality for driver such as Bluetooth connectivity and an option for a backup camera. After reviewing our best selection of car stereos, he decided on the Kenwood DDX26BT for phone connectivity and the ACCELE RVC1300L backup camera for driver safety.
