Opulent Ridez Mobile Auto Spa is Sacramento’s premier auto detailing service company. We are in search of experienced Detailers with experience in applying professional grade automotive ceramic coatings. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years professional experience in the areas of general automobile detailing, paint correction and polishing, and the application of professional grade ceramic coatings. The candidate should be coachable, open to new ideas and procedures, and posses a “can-do” attitude.
Customer Service is our FOCUS: The Detailing Technician will be expected to engage with our clients in a professional, friendly manner in person, via telephone, and/or via text message. Detail Technician MUST be comfortable recommending additional services to clients (up-selling when appropriate). Technician must also be comfortable with engaging with potential clients who may approach them while on the jobsite.
Preferred Experience:
1. 2+ Years of professional detailing experience (with professional references). Experience should include interior and exterior detailing, paint decontamination (mechanical and chemical), applying waxes and nano-coatings
2. 2+ Years of professional experience (with professional references) utilizing dual-action (DA) polishers and rotary polishers to correct and polish vehicle paint and glass.
3. 2+ Years of professional experience (with professional references) applying professional grade ceramic coatings to vehicles.
4. 2+ Years of professional experience interacting with customers through various channels (in person, in writing via email and/or text, and via telephone).
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Must speak the English fluently and proficiently. Bilingual with Spanish fluency and proficiency is a plus.
2. Must be able to remain calm and professional under stress. Candidate should be an exceptional communicator must be comfortable communicating with people from various backgrounds.
3. Candidate should have a working knowledge and firm understanding of the science of safe car washing, paint decontamination, paint correction and polishing, and the application of professional grade ceramic coatings.
4. Candidate should have the ability to competently inspect a vehicle prior to working on it and be able to communicate findings to the customer as well as the shop both verbally and in writing.
5. Candidate should be able to follow a checklist and to have the discipline to not deviate from company procedures.
6. Candidate should be comfortable utilizing various technologies (primarily modern smart cell phones, laptops/computers, and basic office equipment such as printers and copy machines). The candidate should have the ability to learn and utilize various simple software applications at a basic functional level.
7. Candidate should have a positive demeanor, be friendly, have a can-do attitude, and be a team player (our Performance Pay compensation structure is set up so that the better the team does, the more everyone earns).
Other Requirements:
1. Candidate must have a clean driving record.
2. Candidate should be able to work on their feet for extended periods of time. Candidate must be able to crouch, bend, and stoop frequently, and to work in those positions during the course of a detail project. Candidate must physically be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
3. Candidate must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends (schedule may vary from week to week).
4. Candidate must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
NOTE: There is a 6-month rated probationary period. Multiple positions available. Positions are part-time to start and will transition into full time employment opportunities.
