California might be coming for your high-performance tires.
The state’s proposed Replacement Tire Efficiency Program is pushing strict rolling resistance standards on replacement tires. The goal? Lower fuel use and emissions.
The reality for us? Many of the sticky, low-rolling-resistance track, drift, and race tires we love could become much harder (or straight-up illegal) to buy in California.
That means less grip, slower lap times, and fewer options for enthusiasts who actually use their cars.
At R-Comp Tires, we’re all about keeping real performance alive in California. We stock the tires that actually hook up. Don’t sleep on your grip.
